Dubay, who was charged with felony fifth-degree possession of cocaine after an Oct. 15 traffic stop in Maplewood, qualifies for the drug court but will not be formally admitted until treatment starts, Judge Joanne Smith said.
Substance abuse court is for nonviolent offenders who may avoid jail time and other sanctions by following a strict set of requirements, such as treatment and community service.
Dubay failed to complete the requirements of a previous program.
The former radio celebrity co-hosted "PA and Dubay" on KFAN with Paul Allen from 9 a.m. to noon weekdays. He was fired shortly after the drug charge was filed.
